About the Chef

Writing about myself has never been something that I enjoy doing but you are invited into my online kitchen where I share recipes, information about Gluten Free foods and recipes,  and the Health benefits of living a gluten Free lifestyle.

I am not Gluten free for medical reasons from a doctor. I have chosen this lifestyle because I have done enough research to be convinced that gluten is the cause of a large part of our health problems. I feel much better and have more energy now that I have removed it from my diet.

I am a retired Executive Chef that has spent his whole life in a kitchen..By the time I retired, I had reached 337 pounds and it was taking a toll on my health. I was unhappy where I was at. My legs were giving out, and I was on meds for high blood pressure. I had been serving Whole Foods all my life but had been eating all the wrong things…..

So I turned to eating fresh Whole Foods, grass fed beef, free range chicken and wild caught Fish and gave up gluten. I started feeling a whole lot better about myself. To lose weight I adjusted to living a reduced carb lifestyle. Not the Under 20 carb a day lifestyle, but I reduced it to where I remain between 60 and 100 carbs a day. Low carb is from 150 carbs downward.

If you want to drop some weight but do not feel that you could maintain a 20 carb or less lifestyle then you are in the right place. I will share a lot of easy to make, Gluten Free whole food recipes that will help you. I will also share articles to help you with your chosen lifestyle.I have dropped 57 pounds as of this writing and never been hungry. My legs are no longer a problem and my blood pressure has returned to a low normal. I still have a ways to go and will share that progress as well.
